They first came to popularity in 2013, when they began sharing covers of pop songs to the now-defunct video app Vine, and began releasing music as Us the Duo a year later.One of the Alvarado’s most viral moments came in 2014, when they released the first of their annualmedleys comprised of the biggest pop songsfrom the past year. Over the course of their careers, they released five studio albums, toured withPentatonix, had their music included in a feature film, and even competed onAmerica’s Got Talent.In 2021, the then-couplespoke with PEOPLEabout their future career plans, and Michael said he simply hoped they would still be releasing music a decade from now,“It took a lot of work to get here just internally,” Michael said at the time. “Making choices along the way of doing things that bring us joy every day.
