During an appearance on Tuesday’sThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,Sydney Sweeney— who plays Bea in the rom-com — admitted there’s most likely going to be a sequel following the movie’sbox office success.
“Maybe like a high nine chance,” the actress, 26, told hostFallon, 49.
“Oh really? That’s what I’m talking about!” he added excitedly. “I can’t wait to see it.”

She continued of the film, “I’m just so thankful that everybody’s loving it.” She also revealed how a plan she and costar Joe Davidson had to surprise fans in movie theaters backfired.
“I was filming in Australia while this has been in theaters, and Joe, who plays Beau, he and I would sneak into theaters and surprise people,” she recalled.
“Did they freak out?” Fallon asked.

Sweeney starred alongsideGlen Powell, who played Ben, inAnyone But You, which hit theaters in December. The film’s official logline reads, “When college arch-nemeses reunite years after graduation for a destination wedding, they pretend to be a couple for their own personal reasons. But through pretending, they actually fall in love.”

While the movie opened to just $6 million at the domestic box office in December, it has since gone on to gross $87 million in the U.S. and recently passed $200 million worldwide.
While speaking toVarietyon the 2024SAG Awardsred carpet on Saturday, Powell, 35, said he’sready to make a follow-up filmwith Sweeney.
“When you find somebody that you really jive with, Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun. We’re definitely trying to find the next thing. Please send us all the scripts you got,” Powell told the outlet. “You know we’re here for it.”
