Meghan, who is expecting her first child in April, wore her Amanda Wakeley white coat over a metallic brocade knee-length dress. She paired the look with nude heels and a metallic clutch. Kate opted for a pale green dress with ruffled sleeves and a high neck with button details. She wore cream heels and carried a matching pastel bespoke clutch.

The two royal couples, who spoke with guests at the Buckingham Palace reception, were lastseen together in public on Christmas Day in Sandringhamas they made their way to church services.

Since Meghan officially joined the royal family with her wedding last year to Harry, there has been a shake up in its synergy. However, both Meghan and Kate are exceedingly capable of owning the spotlight.

Visitors were also able to view the regalia that the slightly uncomfortable-looking prince, then 20, wore for his investiture, including the Investiture Coronet, Sword, Ring and Rod and the Letters Patent that his mother the Queen issued for the creation of Charles, Duke of Cornwall as Prince of Wales in 1958.

The party came amid a busy week for the royals. Harry was in Birmingham on Monday, while William opened a theater in London. William and Kate head to Blackpool on Wednesday, and Meghan will host a special panel in honor of International Women’s Day on Friday. All four will be reunite again next Monday when they join the Queen, 92, for a service to mark Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey.

In a groundbreaking move on Monday, thepalace released official guidelinesfor how to interact with the royal family’s official social media accounts.

In a statement Monday, the palace says: “We ask that anyone engaging with our social media channels shows courtesy, kindness and respect for all other members of our social media communities.”
