Nick Cannonis spreading holiday cheer in honor of hislate son Zen.

The Masked Singerhost, 43, shared a touching video on Instagram on Saturday, documenting a recent visit to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where he dressed up as Santa Claus and read to patients more thantwo years afterhis infant son died of brain cancer.

“Zen’s Light shining bright for the holidays,” Cannon captioned the clip.

“Thank you to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and everyone who made the day so loving, warm and memorable.”

The visit appeared to be part of the ongoing mission of Cannon’s Zen’s Light foundation. He and Zen’s motherAlyssa Scottannounced the foundation in June 2022in an effortto “foster global excellence in hope, grief care and pediatric healthcare for families and children in need,” they previously shared.

“Our patients were so grateful for this,” one nurse commented on Cannon’s post. “Still hearing about it from some of them!”

Cannon revealed in a December 2021 episode of his talk show that 5-month-old Zen died following a fight withbrain cancer, which had been discovered three months prior. The busy father previously opened up toPEOPLEin 2021 about what it was like to explain Zen’s death to his then six other children at the time, calling it “pretty intense.”

“But their understanding and them being there for me probably helped me keep it together as well as really deal with it. Specifically, even, Roc and Roe. They were there for the entire journey,” he said of his 12-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, whom he shares with ex-wifeMariah Carey.

Scott, who later welcomed daughterHalo Mariewith Cannon in December 2022, previously opened up abouthow difficultit was to pack up Zen’s clothing.

“Well, today is the day I had to pack up Zen’s dresser,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, alongside a photo of a dresser filled with Zen’s clothes. “Thinking I was going to have a boy brought me some comfort because I didn’t think I would have to face this part.”

“But it’s time to make room for Halo 💗 and it’s going to be okay,” she continued. “Girls rock blue too! So this is what stays 🤍.”
