At the start of the ride , theme park visitors would have climbed into a Ghostmobile , which had a extract - down lap covering legal community that was equipped with specter - busting guns . The riders would then be tell that they ’d been recruit by the Ghostbusters Agency . Their first designation ? make clean up a hotel overrun with ghosts .
