It ’s take up a few years , but Flickr has finally gravel its deed together and launch an official iPad app , only four years after Apple unleash its first tablet on the world .

The app does more or less what you ’d expect a Flickr app to do — show you photos of stuff ! — but it does that decently well . The UI is take all the right pool stick from iOS 8 , with a simple , monotonous design and a individual , slight icon bar along the leftfield , leave behind more place for photo browse . The app will , unsurprisingly , allow you shop any photos from your 1 TB of free Flickr repositing , or , indeed , any public Flickr accounts .

Really , the only major let - down is the television camera user interface , which deplorably exists and will keep on giving the opinion that tab picture taking is an OK activity to be lease in . Sure , as camera interfaces go , it ’s not bad ( in other discussion , it appear almost exactly like the stock iOS camera app ) ; and I suppose the ability to shoot photos straight into your Flickr account might be ready to hand . But seriously , people : put the iPad down . Just Say Noto pad of paper picture taking . [ FlickrviaEngadget ]
