Speaking toSFX Magazine , Waldron found that the premise of alternate worlds can be “ an interesting mode to bear up a mirror to fictitious character , ” something he ’s had wad of experience with . Prior to join Marvel begin with last twelvemonth ’s Loki , Waldron serve as a producer and author on Rick & Morty , a show that offers an outlandish amount of alternative world while still keeping focus on the titular characters and their family . For him , it was important to become a “ educatee ” ’ of the original film , so as to forecast out who the character was at the closing of that original movie , and how he ’s been form by the many crossovers since 2016 . And though the motion-picture show ’s selling has had no hassle hyping up the big names that Strange will cross paths with , extend his journey is the primary object lens . “ This is Doctor Strange ’s taradiddle above all else , ” ensure Waldron . “ He ’s been in a deal of movies , but this is his movie , his franchise . ”
