In Captain America : Civil War , we not only see T’Challa ( Chadwick Boseman ) , but his don T’Chaka ( John Kani ) also played a significant office in things . The family line ’s getting a materfamilias , though , in the var. of Angela Bassett .
Bassett will play Ramonda , describe in theMarvel announcementas the “ female parent of T’Challa . ” In the comics , Ramonda is the 2nd wife of T’Chaka . T’Challa ’s mother died during accouchement and Ramonda was taken captive when T’Challa was young . We have no idea if any of that will actually make its means into the movie or if the Queen Mother ’s relationship with T’Challa will be simplified .
Black Panther ’s scheduled acquittance particular date is February 16 , 2018 .
