The characters in the short movie propinquity barely move . After all , they ’re kitschy ceramic figurines in some gentlewoman ’s living room . But they still manage to make us titter with this tale of making love and retaliation . Pixar this ai n’t .
Joshua Cox directed Proximity , which was write by Edgar Leslie and Joe Burke . Over at his website , Cox explains the impetus behind the short :
The breathing in come from thinking about object in a way and what kinds of problems could arise when placing them elsewhere . It was fun to look at the different ceramic objects and see how some of the ceramics were crafted with amazing particular and some were these melty await eldritch slight characters . I have sex create credible moment of fantasy within realness to take the viewer to a new undiscovered plaza . There is magic in creating compelling narrative mixed with visual effects and invention . CG is the everlasting platform for experimentation and stirring – to produce something never before get a line in the born world . There are no boundaries or borders to contend with . You have the power to project every aspect of the image without limit .

What ’s great is that even though we do get some move from the characters , Cox exercises restraint , letting a circumstances of the film ’s humor come from the fact that these are for the most part static — not to mention fragile — statues .
