The introductory premise ofTechnoCRAFT , a novel San Francisco gallery exposition , is that something ’s gone amiss in the history of people making things . These days , couturier have all the force — and maybe it ’s time to put user in control .
The show is curated by far-famed industrial designer Yves Béhar , whose work you unknowingly recognize from theOLPCandJawboneheadset . The take works showcase intersection and method that put the great power of design back in the custody of the people that use them , rather than behind the closed doors of workshop . Good designing should breed community , and excited connexion . Not disappointment and disaffection .
